Web Mapping

Your base community

You have sought to access geospatial information, simply yet effectively, for casual use such as for managers. Or you want to show its benefit before starting a full-fledged GIS.

You've seen it, now go ahead and share it. Or go find those who have seen it and already share it on the web. A few of the ways to publish geo-data are listed here with some examples below:

  • using web services from existing GIS and server vendors well publicized, say, here
  • post and view directly via popular services from ESRI, Google, Microsoft, NASA or Yahoo!
  • processing on servers first, then to publish in various combinations called mashups
  • Arc Explorer
